BECOMING A CATHOLIC
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
The RCIA group meets throughout the year in order to help those who are interested in understanding more about the Catholic faith, with a view to becoming members of the Church.
Under the guidance of the Cathedral’s priests, the RCIA group is organised by a team of volunteers who help deliver the programme.
Those who attend have an opportunity to explore the Catholic faith with others and to meet and talk to Catholics about their beliefs. The group helps give an understanding of the fundamental beliefs of Christianity and the ethical and moral teaching of the Church. The group also strives to deepen the faith of its members through studying the Holy Scriptures and through prayer.
The group meets every Tuesday evening from September to May at 7pm. Contact St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral for more information.
