Parish Annual BBQ –
Thank you to everyone that came along and supported the Parish BBQ on Friday night. With your help we raised £1233 for our nominated charities of FACE (Fight Against Cancer Edinburgh) and the St. Jude’s Catholic school project in Nigeria.
Day for Life: Special Collection next Sunday –
The Day for Life is when we celebrate the dignity of all human life from conception to natural death. It takes place on Sunday 15 June and a collection will be taken up at Mass for the work of the apostolate of life. This year’s theme is Hope Does Not Disappoint – Finding Meaning in Suffering and we are invited to pray for those who suffer and to remain with them, bearing witness to their unique and unrepeatable value.
Urgent: Oppose the Assisted Suicide Bill –
The Assisted Suicide Bill is set for a final debate and vote at Westminster on Friday 13 June. Please pray for wisdom and compassion in our society and to contact your MP to express your opposition to the bill. Your personal stories and concerns matter. Find your MP at https://writetothem.com

Lourdes 2025:
Spaces available for supported pilgrims A small number of spaces have become available for supported pilgrims on the Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes (11 to 18 July 2025). We are reminded that the booking of mass for our special intentions, wedding anniversaries, Birthday thanksgiving, Death anniversaries of our loved ones and general prayers is highly recommended. The mass stipends (Donations) are part of our contribution towards the good of the church and support of our priest.
SSVP Social Event – Afternoon Tea/Coffee with Quiz:
We invite you to come along to the Church Hall at Our Lady’s on Friday 20th June, 3:30 to 5:30pm, for a social get-together and heated discussions over quiz questions! There may even be some prizes! Please let one of the members of the SSVP know (or phone 0793 332 7051) if you plan to attend, so we can gauge numbers, and if you require transport to/from the hall that afternoon.
Sacristan role –
As announced at Mass last Sunday, Jim Vasey our Sacristan, will sadly be leaving the parish shortly and as a result we are looking for people interested in taking on the role as Sacristan. This could be individually or shared with others. Please let Father Francis or one of the Parish Council members know if you are interested.
